What are the Medical Benefits of CBD?

In this blog we would like to talk about the medical benefits of CBD and whether CBD is the miracle cure the UK and the world has been looking for all this time.

But, the first thing we need to clearly state is that we cannot answer that question. Due to regulations and a lack of medically certified and evidence based proof, by law we quite rightly cannot voice our opinions regarding the medical benefits of CBD in the UK.

So we thought we would take a look at what other people have been reporting back about their experiences of CBD and cannabis oil (which contains CBD), in relation to their health and general well-being.

The first story we are taking a look at is the journey of Tiffany Youngs,  the 32 year old wife of Leicester Tigers Rugby Captain and former England hooker Tom Youngs. Tiffany was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma back in 2013. She was told that it was incurable and that she would only have a month to live following the prognosis.

Tiffany undertook a number of conventional treatments to fight the illness including a stem cell transplant but to no avail. In 2017 after fighting the disease for nearly four years the couple were told that there was no hope.

Tiffany was then quoted as saying:

I did worry a lot about how my illness was affecting everybody else,’ she said. ‘But in July, I decided I’m not going anywhere. I hadn’t had a child for her to grow up without a mother.  ‘I want to bring her up, so I decided to try an alternative treatment.’  “I had nothing to lose – if it gave me an extra week with Maisie it was worth it. I told Tom we needed to be open-minded.

Tiffany started a strict diet plan with no dairy, no red meat, no sugar, no tea or coffee and ultimately stuck to fish and green juices. She also started taking cannabis oil and began ENS cosmodic machine treatment whereby electrical pulses stimulate the growth of healthy cells.

In February this year, Tiffany caught a cold and went to hospital for a check up to ensure that’s all it was. Her consultant performed a scan and was able to confirm that Tiffany had actually gone into remission.

Tiffany’s story clearly cannot be solely attributed to one thing but it does give a strong argument to those that are suffering these horrific diseases that there could very well be an answer to their suffering in alternative treatments and therapies.

If traditional methods have been explored and exhausted then what else have the patients got to lose?

Please Note – In all cases like this it is vital that you consult with your doctor before embarking on any kind of alternative therapy.
